Somewhere Between...Pilgrims and Groundhogs....
I didn't know so many of you read my ramblings....I am sorry. I suppose between life and my ever-expanding ass I am not very faithful. I will try and do better.
Since we last conversed, we have enjoyed Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years, I turned 34 and now we are fast approaching Tob's favorite holiday, Groundhog Day. I hope you all had a wonderful Holiday season...we had a blast. Of course, in true Partington tradition, we started with strep, ended at the flu....with at least one of us sick until about a week ago. The major difference in this year is Tob and I actually got sick as dogs. I mean I am fixing to meet Jesus sick. Thankfully, it turned out to be just a bad strep-and I caught the flu at the same time....which led to a gazillion tests and a suspected case of "mono" which I thought only High school kids could get??? Oh well...even so, we are well and ready for Groundhog day.
Tob lives for Groundhog day. It is like most people and Christmas. I actually get a present for Groundhog day, so I am ok with the oddity, but I am a bit concerned about my childrens' future spouses. I mean, they are going to think we are off our rockers when it comes time for the annual Groundhog celebration. Of course, Tob's dream is to go to PA and be there when they take Puxy Phil, the groundhog who predicts weather, out of the hole??? I can see it now, the great pilgrimage to the Groundhog...clothed in our finest groundhog attire. David Andre swears one day he is going to make it happen. I believe him. God help me.
Well, I need to head to the bed. Tomorrow is the Great Groundhog Celebration for Outback. Next time I promise to be more entertaining....there are many stories to tell...from Noah's head splitting open to Jack's Nintendo DS addiction to William Jude's vocabulary....always a story. NiteNite. Ang
